Chicken and Noodles

I was at a friends house last week, and her daughter brought over a dish of chicken with homemade noodles served over mashed potatoes. It was so good. My friend thought it was an Amish recipe, and said she would get it from her daughter, but I'm still waiting to hear. Does anyone have a a recipe that sounds like this?
