We are in east texas and have painted buntings this year

wondering if anyone knows how to attrect the buntings, we have an indigo and a painted but have not seen them in a few days and they were here for 2 weeks.

Hi Jennifer, They like their feeder close to cover (bushes etc.). They enjoy small seeds like millet and sunflower chips.

Those are gorgeous birds! I'm in Fort Worth, Texas, and this past weekend we had a female Painted Bunting on our finch feeder. I kept hoping a male would show up, but I never saw one.
