We have bluebirds and they truelly love to look into mirrors at theirselves. I should say, Beautiful selves. My Poor car shows proof of this. My husband and I have put up mirrors on fence posts, so they can give the cars a rest from bing washed. They are so beautiful and worth the extra efforts. We even put up a larger mirror; now they just have another mirror to admire themselves in. I guess you could say, "we love our bluebirds"
BlueBirds
That's cool! I've never experienced that, but I love me some bluebirds as well! I just cleaned out their house and I'm hoping for a second pair to move in ASAP.
Actually not a good idea - they're not admiring themselves, they're wasting time trying to fight off imaginary intruders in their territories. It could have a serious damaging effect on their breeding success.
Best to protect the car mirrors by draping a cloth over them while the car isn't in use.
Resin
Not all the bluebirds, just this pair. My car has dark tinted windows and they are intrigued by all the windows. When my husband gets home they also admire themselves in his mirrors also. I would have to cover the whole car. I sure would not want them to injure themselves. We have about a dozen boxes Oh, woe is me!!!
