I have a bevy of peafowl!

Anderson, TX(Zone 8a)

I FINALLY have achieved my dream of owning several peafowl. I'm not looking to make my fortune off of them, just wanted some for the pleasure of watching & listening to them. Aren't they beautiful!

I got one from Kenboy. His name is Mr Chicken. He is doing very well. I would love to send a photo; however, the files from my new camera seem to be too large to e-mail. Rats! I'll have to wait from number one son to come home from Japan to show me how to address this problem.

Congrats on your new fowl! I love listening to Mr Chicken calling in the evening.

Jessaree, I just ordered some peafowl hatching eggs. I don't know what kind of housing I need for them. Can you tell me what you use?

I'm so jealous! I've been wanting some for a long time now but everyone around here is discouraging me. Even a neighbor who used to raise them said they are too loud and don't stay to home.
Yours are lovely!

Good luck hatching those eggs Rusty. They do not hatch well in an incubator and they do not ship well. I use setting chickens to hatch mine.
