My new born baby hibiscus
Wow that's a lot of babies!!!!
How long will it be before these babies get big enough to bloom?
It will take about a year more or less, but I already have some that started to bloom from last year, and I also got a lot of there toddler brothers that are one, two, three, four, Five month old and so on until I get to the one year old ones that are starting to bloom.

Wilfred,I like how good your hibs come from seeds..I have no such luck with seeds,I get only 3-4 from 10 :-(
okijaner, how are you planting them, tell me how deep, how much water, how much light, what temperature, and what soil you use, maybe I can help you have better luck with them. The same thing happen to me in the beginning when I first started, I learned from try and error until I got better results. Let me know.

I use small plastic cup,I put 50 perlite-50 moss(or humus,if I have no moss),I make little cut to seed, and I put in each cup one coffee spoon of wather with fungicid, all cups I put in plastic box and cower up.I put it on sunny side on my greenhouse.
okijaner is there any way you can get 6" pots, I like this better since I just soak it really good once and let drain before I plant my seeds, I use a commercial sterile seed starter potting mix. After I have the pot ready I place the seed on top of the soil evenly placed where they will be planted, then I get something two mark were the seeds are before I plant them so I know were exactly were they are. after I've done this I make a little hole where I had previously mark about 1/4" deep, I then place the ( I don't cut the seeds because they tend to rot rather then germinate and I don't see the difference in germinating time with both methods ), like I said, I place the seed with the pointy side down in the hole and verily cover them lightly. When I'm finish planting all the seeds, I gently mist the pot again and place them it a very bright ( not sunny ) area without covering the pot. remember not to water them the anymore unless necessary, remember if the surface dries out a little, you just mist it a little bit to keep the top a little moist not soggy wet or the seeds will rot. My seed usually start to sprout out in 1 or 2 weeks, some seeds take a little longer, if after a month you don't see anything they probably rotted and won't germinate. Hope this help you and good luck, if you need anymore help just ask.

Thank you,bad thing happand with my seeds, wind bloved and windov of my greenhouse was open, and soikl with seeds go on flor..I put them all in one pot..and hope the best now..
Sorry to here that okijaner, but you still have a chase. Take the pot that fell and get a flat, I think there about 12"W x 22"L x 2"D and fill it up to 1-1/2" of poting soil and spread the pot on top of that, you if the seeds are to deep they won't germinate, this way you could be sure they will be on the top 1/4" of the potting mix. You won't know were they are until they start to sprout, hope this can help you.

Thank you again..I will try..
nice job wilfred
I always try to give a helping hand of what little I know and of what I have to whom ever needs it if I can.
If you can hurt somebody, Don't, YOU GAIN NOTHING, BUT and if you can help somebody in any way, WHY NOT DO SO. YOU MAY GAIN A LASTING FREIDSHIP OF THAT PERSON FOR LIFE. That's my moral.
