when to harvest sugar snap and english peas

This is my first year to grow these veggies. I'm not sure when to harvest. Do I pick them early like snow peas?

Appreciate any help on this.

Yes. Pick the snap peas as soon as the pods get round. Pick the shelling peas before the pea berries fill out the pod. Peas are younger-the-better.

Concur with L. Tilton, I like to pick my shelling peas when they are full, but before any color change in the pod.

Thanks for all the information. Won't be long now for the snap peas, english peas are just starting to bloom, I planted little marvel, but I have read that Dakota produces more, will try that next time.
