i AM hooked .it dosnt take much to hook me . im easy . all i need is the promise of a good scent and a pretty flower . my first plumie came in a brug cuttings for postage box as a gift last fall. i was so surprised . it hasnt bloomed yet . it has a yellow stripe painted on the stem . so im guessing its gonna be yellow . at least ive read that going through the old threads. im just drooling on my keyboard looking at all these pics . i m already lusting after a few .

looking good iris. ummm...why is the plumeria inside?

(dana)Owensboro, KY(Zone 6a)

well i had just potted it up . and it was over cast and windy . so i put it out today. its been a weird may . its usually 90 by now. its been the rainiest may ive ever seen . but this week it should be hot . just the way i like it .
oh and i placed another order. it was a tough decision . i told myself only 2. so i went with miami rose for the fragrance and india because i like rainbow and i wanted to see what it smelled like . i was looking through old threads and those kept popping up in the fragrance category . my want list is getting longer by the minute . im no stranger to plant addiction so ill have a collection in no time .

i also got a few cuttings from hetty on market place for me and mom to root . my mom is my partner in crime with plants and we enable eachother . a seed was planted when i saw an article last yr on florida colors . plus the one i already had did so well over winter in the house i had to go full speed

oh okay. for a minute i thought you were one of those people trying to grow plumeria as a house plant. haha!!!

i remember when the bug hit me back in 2001. i think carole got tired of me calling and placing orders. :)

i actually have a bunch of spare cuttings that i sent to fcn to be grafted. hmmm...i think i found someone that might be interested.

i dont do house plants anyway . we have a cape cod style house and the light only comes in the back windows so everything gets crowded around those 2 windows in winter. lol i have zone envy issues .

if you mean me then YES i am interested. where do sign up ! the graft on the one i got yesterday looked really good i didnt even notice at first . i was taken by the inflo . then i was like wait wheres the graft . i ve been into roses mostly and have been trying to graft this one climber for someone . not taking so far . its definitely an art no matter what plant it is.
i can tell when i got the bug because i get a rush when i open the boxes . and i look at the plants every 5 minutes . or smell each bloom even though its the same smell lol

Iris 28 you have it bad LOL
Well, all I can say is join the club. We are all addicts here,

they didnt open they just dropped! :'( there was a few left i was waiting to see about but they dropped last night . it must have been the stress of shipping . the bottom half of the graft was a bit shriveled when it came but it looks great other wise . the bottom half plumped back up . i read some where that the inflo will possibly bloom again is that right .

Tucson, AZ

sometimes that will happen. but yours seemed too far along for that. did you ever get it outside for some sunlight?

yes, i would not cut the inflo because it might try and bloom still. let it fall off by itself.

Mulberry, FL

Yes just let it be, sorry about that some times the inflo will put off more buds later down the road. i have had them go 6 months and put more buds so hang in there

(dana)Owensboro, KY(Zone 6a)

its been outside since the day or so after i got it . i went out to see if it opened and nearly swallowed my toung when i saw the bud laying in the dirt . its been steadily dropping them up till last night .

Tucson, AZ

moist soil?

(dana)Owensboro, KY(Zone 6a)

not overly . i was a bit shrivled so i watered it when i potted it . i gave it some bloom booster as a folliar feed . its been humid so i havnt watered it since

then, i'd just keep on doing what you're doing. : )

i'll get that list to you soon.
