Hi all,
I've been rooting the cuttings I got from AlohaHoya's co-op. I got 5 larger ones (H. camphorifolia, H. obovata x carnosa, H. motoskei, H. sp. Tanna Island and H. 'Black Star') and 3 small ones (H. lacunosa, H. cumingiana and H. curtisii). I rooted the 5 larger ones in hydroton, and most of them have nice roots. The three small ones I rooted in spagnum moss, and they have miniscule roots.
Two questions: First, the larger ones are all getting their water from one larger container. The length of the stems pulls the individual pots over, so I think it's time for them to move to their own pots. Do you agree? What is the best way to do that without disturbing the roots? Second, the smaller hoyas are not rooting as well as the larger ones did, and they seem dehydrated. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Sarah
