Our electric come back on a Wednesday. Our yard is a mess. Tree's down everywhere. Our boys came to help with chain saws to remove the downed trees. Most of the Hosta's made it. The June, Great Expectations and Frances Williams are gone. Also most of the companion plants are gone Thr Great Expectation bothered me the most I guess.
We are now in the process of moving the remaining plants as there is no shade left where they are now. I just hope the saw guys don't stomp down the rest. I would cry for sure. OK, gotta go start over.

Missouri Tornado's A Few Days Ago
If the roots are still there, just move them. Water them lightly with a little manaure water or miracle grow fertilizer. and then wait. They will most likely grow back. Next spring, they will look fine.
I have had mine get um well weedeated, and sometimes mowed lol they come back.
My in laws have some rentals. they lost three roofs in all. Which of course means interior damage as well. Also lost some windows.
A great big mess.
If you don't have shade anymore maybe you could build a little arbor type thing with some lattice and plant them under that.
Wow, thanks. I had not thought the roots would be ok. I will get back out there and see what I can find. I have heard they are tough. I suppose I am goint to find out.
Thanks so much
June
Hi June! Would you like more daylily? I still have plenty more of the Stella de Oro's and 3 other types I could send you some fans of. You can put them in the sun where you other plants that require shade were.
I would love some Stella's. What can I send you? I don't have a lot though.
June
No worries, you are starting over. I think I still have your addy, but will you dmail it to me just to be sure?
June I feel your pain. I lost whole pots with bananas and brugs. We can't find them anywhere. All my hostas got torn up, but when I checked most of the roots are still there. These storms have killed loads of plants, I have to go buy all new veges for the garden, they are all gone too. But if I find something worth while I can share with you, I will.

I really think that was the worse day of my life. I don't think I will ever get this mess cleaned up.
June
Oh no!! I hate that you feel that way! It will get cleaned up, it just takes time. Hopefully insurance will help with some of that. I know its a huge job. Hopefully the lillies will help fill some of the space for you. What else are you looking for?

June, it will get better. After I lost everything to Katrina, I thought I'd never get back to "normal." But the members here at DG helped so much. And I'm here to help you. I can send you a few things. Will see what I have. love, julie
