CLOSED: For postage: Cyperus papyrus

MSU, MS(Zone 8a)

I hate to throw these out. Does anyone want a small piece for postage? I figure I can I use a version of the first class posting at the top of this forum to send them out for $2. in stamps. That would not be a very large piece but at the rate they grow it doesn't matter. By the end of the summer even a little piece would be very tall.

This is the big one, over 6 foot. Very dramatic. Little birds like to land on them. They do spread so keep them in a pot.

If you send me five stamps I will send you a piece for your pond or bog garden. You can also keep in in a pot without holes and just keep it fairly wet. This is a very easy plant to grow.

I'd love one!

Each year I get one, it dies while being overwintered.

Do you mean 44 cents stamps? Are there any alternatives? (Payapal, etc..)?

Just let me know, and TIA!

Yes, I meant stamps. If you would rather use Paypal that is fine but let me go to the post office and get a better idea of the cost so I don't overcharge anyone. I will pack one up and get a closer idea.

If you can put the plant inside for the winter or even just cut off a little piece at the base and put in a little bowl on the windowsill you would have it for the next summer.

I will post again tomorrow after I go to the Post Office. It may be under $2.

Thanks, Pat.

I'll be more than happy to go to the PO and buy some stamps for trade.
I pick up the office mail each weekday, so no problem at all.

No hurry, and thanks for your generosity!

Okay. I went to the post office and it was close enough to $2. so I am going to call it that:) I will Dave mail the folks that have signed up with my paypal email or my address for the stamps. You can send five .44 stamps or use the single cent stamps to add up to $2.

I am going to mail out on Monday, May 25 so I can do it all at once and the people sending stamps have time to do that. So if you paypal please do it by Saturday May 23 so I can get them addressed on Sunday.

I imagine I would have enough for anyone who wants them. Please note, you are getting a small chunk of rhizome with some green sticking out of it. It will grow although it will not be impressive when you get it.

Hi Pat
Do you have enough for another package? I'd love to get some!
At this date, it might be quicker for me to just Paypal your postage.
Thanks so much and just let me know!
