Sure you can Don! Hope you used a quality container mix and not
top soil? Use one cup of 10-10-10 spread away from the plant and scratch it in. Use some mulch to prevent weeds and to keep the soil moist.
How about a mix of 45% Peat 45% manure compost mix 10% perlite and a cup of garden lime?
If you used that mix you certainly don't need anymore fertilizer? However, I'm concerned about your mix holding to much water?
