Fall Veggies?

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I know it's "just" late spring, but I'm already thinking ahead to fall veggies since planting time will be here sooner than I know it. What veggies do well in the fall? I'd like to grow some heirloom tomatoes. What varieties do best in the fall? Any other words of advice and wisdom also appreciated.

Hey girl, I found this at my bexar extension office.... You should have one too. BTW I am going to try fall tomato's also... I just got some garlic seeds from a DG'er that I can't wait to try to grow. I am going to grow lettuce all winter. Let me know what you have up your sleeve, ok.

That's a great chart! I have some kind of chart, but I don't know if it's for spring or fall. Will have to check it out. I know I want to do heirlooms.

Broccoli, cabbage, brusslesprouts, cauliflower, carrots, corn, tomatoes, black eyed peas, eggplant, and peppers, all good. The first four can sometimes be grown all Winter long.
