Hey .... Just an FYI... Ya'll might accidentally fall into the same trap I did.
Last week, I had a horrendous headcold, turned into an upper respiratory infection. As I was sitting at my friend's house Friday morning (who had been with me a significant amount of time from when I caught the cold until Friday).
He said to me, "I wonder how it is you caught this and got so sick, and all I've got is a sore throat?"
I said, "Not sure. Must be a stronger immune system, or something."
Then I looked at the label of the DayQuil I'd been taking.
Ingredients included... High fructose corn syrup. Um... sugar sugar!
"Hey hon! I think I know! Read the label, tell me what you think."
He said, "So what you're saying is, every time you took that "medicine", you were spiking & crashing your sugar. Great!"
No wonder I couldn't get better! Each dose of "medicine" was a sugar-shot, on an empty stomach... All this for a reactive hypoglycemic that monitors every ounce of sugar I consume, all the way down to the fresh fruit I eat.
Headcolds, beware... I've got sugar-free Robitussin DM in the medicine cabinet now...
