my first strawberry

The first strawberries in the GH are turning red, I forgot to take a picture before my DH and I ate them standing right there. Yum, were they good. It is at least 6 weeks earlier than I would have had them in the garden.

Yes, they are June bearing. Had 6 more yesterday and at least that many are almost ready. The ever bearing ones have set fruit but aren't all the way ripe yet.

I invited the neighbor boys (2 and 4) over to pick and eat. They were very happy. We got them to eat potatoes last year this way, they dug them up and are crazy over potatoes now.
