Tomatoes with yellow centers

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

What's wrong with my tomatoes? I sprayed (carefully, I thought) around them with Roundup a few days ago. Is that it? Are they ruined?

I would pinch off the stems with yellow leaves and keep the plants well watered. RoundUp is hard to apply close to desirable plants without damaging them.

I would not use RU around anything that's going to be eaten as the chemicals leach into the soil and that's where the plants get their nutrients. Some of that chemical will be in the edible veggies grown. If you're mulching, then just weed by hand as the weeds should be tiny and easy to pull. If you have stubborn weeds, pull back the mulch and put down a couple layers of newspaper or a piece of brown craft paper or a paper sack with the bottom cut out. Water it, then put your mulch back in place. This creates a biodegradable weed block.

That tomato plant will not recover. Check out the feedback you got in the other thread you started.

Thanks to all for your comments. Look on the "Tomatoes" forum if you are interested in my tomato plight and pics. I've gotten some real interesting/helpful feedback. Most say "kiss my maters goodbye," but a couple had comeback stories under the same circumstances. So, we'll see.

I had a few plants that looked like that. I didn't use round up and my closest neighbor is 1/2 mile away. Anyway, they are fine now. they don't look any different from the other 50 I have.
