I want to plant a hundred or more of very hardy, white daffodils (zone 5a-b) that will bloom without fail, and spread readily, in semi shade. Can you name some???

Well I'll vouch for both of those! The Pheasant's Eye blooms after the Ice Follies, nicely extending my season of bloom. Pheasant's eye is blooming for me now.

Thalia naturalizes well for me, and smells good too.

Mount Hood. Gorgeous, tough, spreading.

I love 'Ice Follies' also, but just so you're not shocked, the flowers open yellow and change color, maturing to white.

Mount Hood has more impact from a distance, and is more sturdy thanThalia , but I grow them both. Thalia blooms later. But I would see what you can get at a good price. I love Ice Follies, but it has a pale yellow cup. Patti
