Indigo bunting

In my feeder this morning. Beautiful!

He certainly is beautiful! Have you seen them in your yard before? I would love to see one someday!

They are beautiful birds. I've never had any until this year. I've had 3 different males and a female showed up this a.m. Hope they stay around.

No Painted Buntings this year though. I've had them the past 4 years.

Yes, painted buntings are beautiful. I don't think we have them in IL.

That picture looks like the bird that was at my feeder here in Texas - I wonder if it was that? It had brown on wings and head

I finally saw an indigo bunting this morning at a Bojangles in Raleigh. However since my luck tends to run on the bad side, it figures it was laying dead on the ground. *sigh*

Catstealer, If the bird was mottled with brown, most likely a juvenile.

The Indigos are on one of my feeders several times a day now.

Saw a pair of Painted Buntings this a.m., but couldn't get a pic. If they hang around, I'll get them.

Beautiful bird. I, too, saw an Indigo Bunting this spring, my first ever siting. Actually a pair of them -- they're gone now but it was quite a thrill for a week.
