Hello Everyone,
Do you have any good websites for researching butterflies. I done google searchs but I was thinking I might not be finding anything. What I really would love is a directory of butterflies that has their picture beside their names. I have found some but you have to click the link to see the butterfly then I forget it's name. :( Then I have to write it down.
Any sites would be good.
Websites for research
Hi I don't know how many of these butterflies would be found in your area, but this is a good site. http://www.naba.org/chapters/nabambc/construct-group-page.asp?gr=All
The Dallas County Lepidopterists' Society has a super website. You have loads of pictures both caterpillars and adults but the best part for me is the host plant lists they have. They are available on their "butterfly gardening" link. Sorted different ways you can see what butterfly uses what plant for egg laying with just a click. Very good reference site.

The site Meredith79 referenced has one super feature that I love. Once you click on one butterfly at the top of the picture is a link to see a side by side comparison of two butterflies. It has been extremely helpful to me with sulphurs and whites.
