I have dorman red raspberries, which are supposed to do better for warmer climates, and I'd be interested in your variegated brom

P.S

Looking for something to pick and eat

I think they taste alright. We eat them fresh on cereal and stuff. They are a little more bland that the ones at the store, because they are grown in our alkaline soil, whereas the grocery store ones are grown in acidic soil.

But, the northern raspberries will not do well in heat. I've tried many, and they've all died. Same with blueberries, ...even the climax and Tiff.

Up to you, but they are the only ones I can get to grow in the heat...they are also a scrambling vine, instead of the stiff upright canes of the northern raspberries.

I'd post a picture, but it is on the other computer...I can post a pic tomorrow

I saw a pic in plantfiles.
I like the plant , but wanted your opinion on the taste.

If you can eat them right off the plant thats fine.

good morning-
Personally, I'm still interested in the first one that has the variegated edges.

The dorman red is edible right off the vine. If you have more acidic soil than we do, they'll taste even better for you.

Now if it is taste you are after, I have some fantastic dewberries, which are like blackberries, only they scramble, too, instead of stiff upright canes. They are smaller than blackberries, but then the seeds are smaller, too.

Everyone loves these!

Dewberry? Never heard of that before.
Not that I'm a Berry kinda gal , but I have kids that would enjoy picking their own berries I'm sure.

Sounds good .
So I'll send you the first Brom pictured and what else?
I have other plants unless your only interested in broms.

I'll try to take some pix of other stuff
to show you.

I'm out cleaning yard up so I'll snap a few pix while I'm at it and post
in a bit .

hi Sylvia-just checking the computer...been out in the garden ALL day. :0)

Well, I'd like the other brom that you said makes lots of pups, unless you have some other stuff I'd like more :0)

I've got plenty of stuff to trade, so we can make this as large of a trade as possible to better justify postage :0)
