Elaine
sold to the lady from georgia! i'll send in a bubble envelope on wed. you can send in sept. if you like. i love your flower but mostly i love the name.
i still have more iris. where are the iris people? has anyone seen them?
Hi Barb, think everyone is in their gardens this time of year, e-mail me your list and I'll do the same, I think I've still got your e-mail.
Mamajack,
I would be interested in your Elmer's Web, Nancy's Lace, Venetian Love( I may have lost this one), and Decadence.
In addition to those I already mentioned having, I have Choose A Juice, Braggadocio, It's Magic, Aphrodisiac, Free Space, Forever Blue, Unbelievable
love, Tennessee Vol, and a few more. And yes, Got Winkie. I could give more to get Decadence, of course. Not all mine have bloomed this season. It could be a few weeks beore I could dig them. Let me know.
Judy
Hey Barb:)
You might try posting on the iris thread. I know they set up trades over there a lot and may not think to look here.
BTW, the alliums that you sent to me in trade a while ago are coming up gangbusters. See, being on your wall paid off, lol!
Bev
bev i am glad they grow good where you are. i only have one of the bigger alliums that returned. may be the drainage.
just so everyone is clear on my iris.....they have already bloomed. i lost my tags. i only know where some of them are so can only trade those for named iris. if anyone wants to take a chance on a grab bag i could do that. i could go through and send as many different ones as i have but you will have to wait and see what you get. if i know where it is i am listing those as i find them. it will be another week before i will have enough time to get others together. i am hosting an event this next weekend and will be working on that all week.
Mamajack, is it re blooming Ireses? I've heard that only reblooming and the louisiana irises do well here in zone 10a. I really really would like to grow some down here. I've gotten 3 louisiana Irises in a trade a few weeks ago.
Ofcourse I don't have Irises for a trade but I have some hoyas & plumeria cuttings(yellow, white) Peach brug cutting, lobster claw heliconia(smaller variety), snow on the mountain.
i don't know how well iris do in florida. you might ask over on the florida forum. and while i love each and every one of those plants you have they would be inside plants for me. i only grow what will live in texas without much help from me. because i'm too busy acquiring plants to be taking care of them. lol.
i have a lot of trades pending so i'm going to close this for now. i will have more iris i hope next week. thanks to everyone for the nice trades.
Sunshine, sorry, but irises don't do very well in south Florida. they need a little cooler winter for resting.
Of course I can't grow all those beautiful tropicals up here either..sigh..
Elaine
efgeorgia, there you are. are you in the exchange? i can get vibrations out but were we only trading one?
yes,,,, lol. I am in the exchange. Do you want me to go ahead and send you laced cotton now?
It should be fine. I just sent a few to my brother in AZ.
Elaine
well by all means put it in a bubble mailer and try to save some money. i'll get a big fan of vibrations out...maybe tomorrow and if not then it will be mon. is that o.k.?
ooooo, not,, LOL, we are going out of town, just wait and send it the second week in June if that's ok. I'll get yours out then too, if ok?? yes, those iris can take lots of abuse. My brother had some out in Arizona that sat in a hot garage for several months and they still survived and grew.
E
mine are already dug. do you still want me to wait?
nah,, go ahead and mail them. They will be in the post office where it is cool. Will be ok.
I'll get yours out tomorrow too. Probably a good idea. My DH says I get too many projects going on... LOL
Elaine
well tell DH that you are not the only one. lol. i'll get it out as quick as i can. may be mon. now as i am hosting a party on sat.
