Can you tell

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

which goose this is. Bought a auction of mixed eggs. Could be Embden, male Pilgrim, or White Chinese. It hatched almost double the size of the 2 Brown Chinese. It is 10 weeks old and almost as big as my 4 month old Brown Chinese now. Read that White Chinese stick their tails straight up but just seems way to big to me to be a White Chinese or are they bigger than the browns?? It has a perfect yellow eye ring and blue eyes, my 4 moth old browns don't even have a good yellow eye ring yet. I would appreciate your thoughts or knowledge in the matter

Donna,i don't think it is a Pilgrim. The top of their heads are not flat.We have 11 Pilgrims,7 females and 4 males. They are still babies though. They are not even a month old yet.

Donna I loved the pic's but know nothing about geese, except one bad experience with a gander. LOL. That was why I didn't comment, I know nothing. Wish you every success though, and it's good to have you on the forum. Haystack

I don't know anything about geese beyond the fact they can destroy a golf course in short order. LOL Good luck with yours.

Boy that is a goose isn't it? I've always loved the spuck of geese, and that goose looks like it has lots of spunk. Good luck

Only thing I can add is that the white Chinese are not noticeably larger than the browns.

cool I have a Embden then. It is now as big as my Brown Baby that is 2 or 3 months older
