Pine Siskin song

East Wenatchee, WA

Several mornings ago I had the opportunity to listen closely to a singing Pine Siskin. I usually just check off the buzzy, trilly, jumbled song as Pine Siskin and then move on to whatever is more interesting. However this guy got my attention because he was throwing in songs from other birds. In particular, he sang portions from both Ruby-crowned Kinglets and American Robins. I knew that Lesser Goldfinches will do this, but I didn't know the Pine Siskin would.

That's interesting Pice!
