Thank you, Taylor (seepicker_tx)! These roses are so lovely. I was expecting a stick, and instead I have 4 beautiful leafy roses, two with flowers and buds! Thank you thank you thank you! This is already my best birthday ever (even if I am turning 40). You made my month. Did I say thanks? Thanks!
I'm waiting for a loll in a thunderstorm to head out and plant them - I know exactly where I want them. Thanks again, Pam.
happy early bday to me!
Okay, I couldn't wait. I went out in the thunderstorm and planted them (I did use the precaution of using a shovel with a wooden handle :)).
I'm drenched, but happy!
Ha! you addict, you!
They look great, I hope they do well.
Beautiful b-day present, I should say!! That pink will be so beautiful in your border, I can't wait to see pic later in the year!
And by the way, therre's nothing at all wrong with turning forty! I guess it's all in your perspective!
Nah, some of the best years of your life, don't waste them feeling bad.
From a 45 yr old!
hi Pam-
:0)
just seeing this thread...
I am glad they arrived safely and that you like them. I sent the fairy as a bonus because they are just such a wonderful rose. Everyone should have one, or two of them, lol
The tiny buds look so cute frozen in ice cubes when company comes :0)
Those little new dawns will grow very big eventually. I figured I'd send two, in case one didn't make it, or if you wanted to plant one on either side of an arbor, or something.
Enjoy, and happy birthday! I'm 42. Forties aren't so bad! :0)
Here is a picture preview of what yours will look like...that is two new dawns :0)

Taylor, are the New Dawns the bush roses or the climbers?
Thank you. The new dawn are the climbers...
The bushes are Belinda's dream :0)
Just gorgeous. Thanks!
Just saw this thread and wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday! I am 56 and have to second that the best years do start at 40! Stay positive and enjoy them all. Joyce
Thought I'd pipe in and say Happy Birthday, as well. How fortuitous that you got just the perfect gift on your big day.
Enjoy your 40's - they are a wonderful time to start making your choices based only on what you want. I can't wait to see what my 50's bring.
Kathy
Who has only 6 months of "40's" left
P.S. The Johnson's Blue you sent me is doing absolutely fabulous - it's already increasing in size. I think at the end of the summer I'll be able to divide and extend that clump. And I'll always marvel that it came from a garden in Pennsylvania.
