My seedlings have been doing very well in my greenhouse. However, I see that many of them are starting to have a green fungus on the top of the soil. Can I just scrape it off the top of the soil? They still look very healthy. I'm a beginner, and things have been going so well........
green fungus on seedlings
It's probably algae not fungus. It won't hurt your plants, but it likely indicates that you're keeping things a bit too wet, which could lead to real fungus.
Sounds like algae also. You may need more ventilation in your GH. Try to get the air moving around with a fan. Pick the algae off the soil then try to aerate the very top of the soil in your containers with a small tool, like a fork. Fluff it up a little. Don't go deep, just disturb the top where the algae likes to grow.
