I had a hard day today. Was kept up all night dealing with tornado warnings, hail, and a NOAH radio going off all night. Then I went out today to check everything after the storm, and found that my peahen died. I think the wind may have blown her off her perch and broke her neck. Her mate has been freaking out all day honking and screaming his head off all day. I feel so bad for the poor guy, and dont know what to do for him. At the same time, hes making my no sleep headache worse. Anyways, after all that, I found my german empress buds about to open...so I guess it wasnt all bad 8-).
perhaps a bit of sunshine?
so sorry for all your problems. Hope you get a good night of sleep.
Great on the flowers.

Thanks guys. You'ld never guess what happened now! I was sick of the storms, so I decided to take a trip and visit my mom and brother in carbondale Illionois for mothers day, and to help my brother do wedding stuff. While I was there, they were hit by an inland hurricane, that spun off tornadoes. It was BAD! The damaging/frightening part lasted at least 45 min. Lots of people had trees fall on their houses. My brother had 2 huge trees fall on his neighbors houses, but, he only got hail damage on his roof. We had no electric the whole time I was there. The stranger part, was that if this had been one more day later. it would have been exactly one year earlier to the date that the tornado hit my yard last year. Strange how things work. Anyways, I ended up there, and didnt even see the full blossoms on my german empress, although it looks like it may have a few more buds. Now that I got home, the leaves look soggy, and the plant is not looking good. Thinking it rained too much while I was gone. Might be time to chop it up and repot it.
Sorry about your plant
Sandy
