ok...here are my thoughts on this little fountain...
I picked it up at a thrift store yesterday for only $4.94
I have been "dreaming" of making a little fairy garden in one of those very deep-dished concrete birdbaths...with a mini fountain!
I was thinking that I could put this in the deep basin, cover the bottom part of it, by basically buring it in soil(screen and tiny rocks over the part where the water has to circulate),and plant tiny plantings around it.
What do you think?

zmom-
that is very cute! I like it!
well, this is about the sixth one I've seen at the thrift store in the last year, or so, and so they must be a frequent donation item. You will probably find one if you start looking ;0)
This one was originally marked $8.98, but when something doesn't sell for three months, they mark it down half...
Have you seen these?

you could also put a little chunky piece of firewood upright and add the little windows, door, and working light, for a keebler elf type home for your little guy :0)
he could step outside his "treehouse" at night, and admire his fountain by porchlight, lol :0)

seeds- that is a great idea. will have to look for a fountain. i got 2 windows and a door at hobby lobby earlier this spring.
zhinusmon- love your mini garden. where did you get the small gnome?
belinda
I love the fountan!
I love that troll! Post more pics. of your Trolls!
Reminds me, did any of you have Kiddles as a kid? I love them and have a couple of my old ones and a "new" one I got on ebay of my favorite, since my old one looked bad. They are now in a shadow box with me as a child holding one of them. Sorry, that was off of the subject.
My sister loved trolls.
your doors are beautiful, love the troll. you're very talented! are they made of clay?
belinda
oh, I just LOVE how there is a scene in the door to make it look 3-D
very cool!!
tell us more!!...show us more! :0)
You make those?...how much do you charge. I think I need one :0)
I definitely want to get that little fairy light that works, before they sell out...

Oh trisha I just love them all the troll, the frog, the muchroom, the lizard.....did you make them all.......
You are talented!!
Do you sell them on Ebay?I have seen things like that go for big bucks......
I have never learned to do that, and another thing I'd love to learn is how to reborn.I have a couple that I have bought.
Those are cute!!!!!
He is awesome...love those lips......LOL
If you want a little fountain....why don't you just buy the little pump and design your own, your so good.
I have a lot of fun with the polymer clay.....it has taken a lot of practice but I am learning...slowly..
Can't afford the little things I would like for my fairie gardens so didn't have much choice but to make my own. Started out doing a few little gardens for our Church Garden Sales and making little decorative pieces to go in them.....it just turned into an addiction from there....I just really like working with clay.
Maybe this coming winter while I hibernating ,I'll give a hand at it.Might be fun.
You really should try it, it is fun!!
ok, I've passed the fimo a thousand times, and wanted to try it. Is that what you are using? I was tempted to buy it, because I wanted to make some flower pots and stuff for my fairy garden that I can't find, or can't afford :0)
Is fimo the right stuff, or can you point me to the brand you are using? Do you just mold it and let it dry, or bake it?
Fimo, premo, Sculpey, Cernit.....there are a lot of brands....but that is the stuff! You just make it and bake it. You can sculpt it , or mold it...........it does not dry or harden until baked...just Do Not Over Cook It....Be glad to help out in any way we can. I am still learning and always looking for more info and instructions so I started a Polymer Clay Thread in the Pottery and Clay Forum...eventually we are going to get some tutorials and lessons going over there. Some of the ladies there are beginners like us ( even have stuff made by my 8 year old granddaughter) and a few are artists that have made and sold beautiful sculptures world wide...We would be glad to have any of you join us over there any time.
I made the bench, fairy, bird bath, birdhouse, gazing ball, stepping stones etc. in this garden...
My son is getting back from Chicago today....have to go to Seattle to pick him up at the airport....talk to you later.
Thank you for the information. I think your bench and birdbath are fantastic!

Trisha, your sculptures are fantastic! I should give it a try, can't hurt!
Thanks Sally, The only really bad part of it is that it can become a real addiction....!!
zhinusmom, you're so talented! Love all your creations! You're right - they're so expensive to buy. I do hypertufa and was going to try a few simple things out of tufa for my gardens.
That is something else I would like to try this summer.....wish I could find time (and money) for all the projects I would like to do:(
