I have a Pondmaster 1000 or 1200 pump. A couple of weeks ago, the filter box broke off the tubing. I left the pump running while waiting for the new filter box to arrive. The water flow slowed way down. The new filter box came in yesterday. I looked at the instructions for the pump to troubleshoot the problem. I am thinking that the propeller is clogged. There are no clear instructions about how to take the pump apart. Is this easy? Is there anything I need to know before attempting this? Thanks in advance....Charles
PUMP QUESTION
the impeller should be easy, i have the 1900, and cleaning the impeller is routine maintainence - the cover - where the hose comes into the pump twists off, the impeller pulls out to be cleaned.. fairly simple, don't force it if it sticks.. the impeller should come out fairly easily. the cover should be a little tough to twist off, but if you look at the front, you should see the tabs.

Thanks for the response. It was as easy as you said. It took all of 10 minutes at the most. The pump is only been running for 1 1/2 years. It was very dirty. Charles
glad it worked out - clean the impeller once a year or so, it will add life to the pump
