I was told to feed my Brug........What do they like to eat?She has been repotted since pic to a bigger pot.
Help Newbie....I Have Hungry Brug.....
Synda, hi. Brugs like abundant of fertilizer. But if you just repotted the plant. Give it a week or so before give it a mild fertilizer to begin with and gradually increase your fertilizer like every week feeding. Any balanced fertilizer will be well tolerated by brugs (such as 20-20-20). Good lucks.
Since Brugs are considered heavy feeders, pelleted slow release fertilizers don't work as well. I think what they really need is a steady application of food. So DGer feed their Brugs twice a week. I'm trying a fertilizer injector this year to see how that goes. It releases a small amount of fertilizer with every watering. It's the same idea as the Recipe but feeding through the roots (watering is faster than spraying) rather than through the leaves.

I don't live to far from you, I have almost all my Brugs in the ground, if you have more than one, put one in the ground & leave one in the pot, you will see the difference by the end of Summer, Oh answer to your question, I feed mine with the Miracle grow sprayer at least once a week, but again mine are in the ground

You did them up in the fall ,right.
Synda, that is what i do.I give mine plant food.
I bought Bloom Booster today when I was in town....LOL
Cool,i need to feed mine tomorrow myself.
I was shocked it was only $4.something for a pretty big box.
The food i feed my i think was about $7 or $9 and it's small.LOL
But you can buy flowers cheaper....... :)>
LOL!!!!!!ROFLMAO!!!!!!
Synda hi ...don't give a newly planted brug any fertilizer until it settles into it's new pot ...I only use seaweed extract to water it in (as directed) seaweed only encourages roots and it is a tonic rather than a fertilizer ... then wait until new leaves start to sprout .After that you can start to feed it ...I also would not use flowering fertilizer yet, wait until the plant Y's or starts tiny buds before you use that.
Good luck with your new plant.
Synda
I do up them in the fall, right before it frost, I put them in the basement, all my tropicals go under lights, until the next
