Is it too late to divide my broms? They usually bloom in mid July but they are sending up new ones and are really crammed in their pots but I'm concerned if I divide them now they won't bloom.

When to repot?
Hi Lisa, broms are best divided in spring through to early autumn, as they will grow new roots rapidly when the weather is warm. Broms don't mind being crammed in, (I have seen the HUGEST clump growing out of a 4" pot) but if you are worried about losing the blooms, wait until they have finished.

Thanks for the info. Their bloom lasts well into the winter so I never know when to repot them. Every year I tell myself I will reopt next year but then they send up new ones when it is already close to blooming time again. I think I'll just let them be.
