pretty shot
Thank you! This is an incredible plant. HUGE flowerhead that lasts a long time.
How could I grow this in Zone 6b?
Kell: That is a great photo, beautiful plant!
dianecaton: Maybe you could grow it as an annual or indoors as a house plant?
Here's the growing information for it: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/60114/ I might have to give this one a try myself ... sure is pretty, and it looks like 3 vendors have it for sale!
Thank you!
I am not sure you can grow it in your zone for this is a biennial. The first year it grows big and then in the spring in the second year it blooms big.
Though I might have planted mine late in the summer of 2007 now that I am thinking about it and it did not bloom till this spring.
I planted 1 and it divided itself into 2. And when they recently collapsed, I saw I have 2 more small ones under it. It has not had time to reseed itself.
Mine entertained me for over a month early, early spring which was great for it was before my roses started.
