Those are looking good, texasrockgarden - what variety is that?

Everything in my garden is beginning to really take off. I've got some teeny tiny little straight neck squash, lots of tomato buds and tomatoes starting to grow, the okra's taking off, but not doing much right now, and I saw the first bud on my watermelons this afternoon.

Thanks, Texasrockgarden. From what I read about these, it looks like one I'd like to try. Please let us know what you think of the flavor in a week or so.

As for squash, if you want some, show up at my house with a truck or trailer. We are getting ready to start leaving bags of it on the neighbors' porches in the middle of the night!

LOL about the squash! I've already told my neighbors that if they find veggies hanging on their doorknobs to know it came from our garden!

My yellow crookneck squash is blooming quite nicely. Last year I only got like a handful before something got to mine and made all my plants wilt almost overnight. Those that came up this year are from last year. I swear I didn't plant any squash this spring. Anyway, the plants are so large, they're blocking the sun to my onions. I darned well better get some squash off these things this year.
