Need plants to fill in empty spaces?

Poulsbo, WA

I can't drive to swaps or deliver, or mail, but I have gazillions of babies everywhere. I did not dead head the last two years, on purpose, to see what free seeded. Apparently lots! Bring plastic bags and wet papers towels or little pots to put them in.

I have about 30 mature columbines that are varieties of pink, hundreds of strawberry plants, I have been ripping them out like weeds, but they should go to a good home.

Anyway, I also have some mature landscaping plants that can go, you dig! Bring me something that blooms blue if you have any. I have azaleas, large leaf boxwood, lavitera, etc. that I want removed to make room for my favorite plants. If you are wanting to dig any of these up, please bring a small bad of garden soil to fill in the hole. :) The previous owner had this place nicely landscaped, but I am not crazy about some of the shrubs. I'll post photos.

About 8 boxwood (?) in a row. You can see the low growing azaleas across the top, as well as all of the columbines.

I think is called a Japanese Anemone. Very tall spikes with pale pink flowers. VERY zippy.

A couple of buddleia. I have white, pink and deep purples, so don't know what these will be when they bloom.

There are others but that gives you an idea. Nothing fancy or amazing, but free and plenty of them to fill in some empty spaces. Please, not for resale, just to enjoy for yourself. :)

You just giving these away? You want a big bunch of one gallon pots for a trade of plant to pot...I can do that. These two will be beabuy for the wedding onthe 6-21 our son. Doing the entire wedding giving the bride way as we are close.

Wish I lived closer! That silver artemesia is really nice! The third photo down is commonly called Red Valerian,, although it isn't a true valerian. I can't recall the latin name right now. It will come to me in the middle of the night, I'm sure.

Denise, trading large pots is a super idea! I never have enough.
Just send your friend with a shovel and good back. ;)

Thanks Pixy, Red Valerian. That does sound familiar. It turns out to free seed really well. They had it planted at the Bainbridge Library and I enjoyed it sooo much, that a seed head followed me home in the fall. Everything I have is a descendant of that one pinch. Oh, and I had permission. ;)

Centranthus ruber. There ya go!

Yep that's the one! It is growing everywhere now, and blooms all summer if I keep it dead headed.

Hi Neo, trying to catch up on some of the treads

I need to get over there and get some of your babies to put in my yard. before they are all gone. Been so busy on my days off trying to catch up on the yard work here plus work work has left little time for anything else. LOL
