Is this variety mildew resistant? I have some of the native red but it mildews badly.

It is mildew resistant, but not immune. By the end of the summer it always has mildew, but not so bad that its an eyesore.

wonderful. Garden Gate magazine has listed their top picks for new plants this year and one is a bee balm named "Purple Rooster." They say this taller bee balm is so mildew resistant that it can be planted in the middle of the border with any worry. They say to find a retailer near you, go to www.PerennialResource.com
