I have never considered myself a 'gardener'...just a lover of flowers! :) My first experience with perennials was dismal...I knew very little and ordered all of my plants from Michigan Bulb! After several seasons (and three homes later) of believing I was born with a brown thumb, I finally ventured out to local nurseries and began selecting healthy plants which thrived!
Last year I finally began documenting the plants, trees, and shrubs I was bringing into our yard! Now if I only had a time machine to go back and get the names of all the forgotten ones...hehehehe. Which brings me to one of the reasons I joined this AWESOME site!! I want to learn about the plants I have.
I am looking forward to stealing as much knowledge as I can! wink wink!

I thought I was the only person that ordered from an on-line company and lost every plant. I was so happy to find out that Dave's Garden lets you go to the place where you can read comments from people about their experiences ordering from companies like Michigan bulb. I could have saved a lot of time and money.

Sad to say, most of us have "cut our teeth" on the sorry likes of companies like Michigan Bulb. And it ticks me off to no end that they are not even located in Michigan, but Indiana.....My mission in life to to warn all new gardeners to stay away from them.
