Where can I find head/face containers?

Fowlerville, MI(Zone 5b)

I'm looking for a variety of head/face containers to plant my herbs and flowers in. PamelaQ's "Medusa" is beautiful! I've seen beautiful Victorian ones in the past - there was a beautiful one at HomeGoods in Florida last year and I could kick myself for not buying it then. ....I'd like to find some that are funny, and some of children too.

Does anyone know the "hot spots" where these can be found??
Thanks for your help!! :)

Hi you!

I share your enthusiasm! I got two last month. Give me a sec and I'll see if I can pull up the website for you...

Voilla!!!

I'm a Gemini...so I had to have two! I'll eventually get the male faced one too, but for now... I have these and I LOVE THEM! Can't wait to get my hair going...LOL

They could be a little bigger, but...I'm very pleased with them! They came aged looking.

Begick's Nursery in Bay City has several whimsical planters like you're looking for, unless it's too far to drive. If you want, I'll stop & see if I can find a brand name on them. Perhaps then you could look into it on the net before you decide.

I saw them here on DG marketplace http://davesgarden.com/products/market/view/3922/

Highmtn and goofybulb, I'm glad to see I'm in good company! :) Thanks for the links! I'll check into them all. Al, please don't go out of your way to get the brand names for me, but should you go there for something you want, then I would love to know who makes them!! Begick Nursery is about 85 miles from my house. :( ....Thank you for offering!!

I'm there often - today, in fact. It's less than a mile from my home & on the way home from work. If I remember, I'll stop.

You're awesome! Thanks Al! :)

No brand name. Chinese imports. They said stuff like "Petunia Mom", "Older Daughter", "Family Planter" on the bottoms, but when I net-searched for those words, I didn't come up with anything. Sorry. They're really cool, though. ;o)

Glenda, I adore my KatG head container from:

But in my searches, I found some craft kits to create "faces" for 6" terracotta pots. Too small for my needs, but looks like fun - especially for kids:

Aww, I'm bummed.... Thanks for checking for me Al!! I appreciate it. I'm going to HomeGood tomorrow so I've got my fingers crossed that maybe they'll have something like that again this year. The odds aren't good though, so the search goes on....

Thanks denisemb! The craft kits are pretty cool. I'll keep those in mind too. :)
I'll let you all know if I find something!!

Went to HomeGoods today.... There were no face/head planters to be found. :-(

Glenda - by accident, I was looking for a Toad Hollow toad I wanted & I found the planters I was trying to describe and remembered your post. I'm not sure what the rules of this forum site are as far as posting links to things, but if you use the search words toad hollow muggly family you'll see the planters I was talking about.

Take care, Al

OH!!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I bought one of these planters at a local nursery last summer. Unfortunately it just went out of business. I have been searching sooo many sites unsuccessfully. Al, you have made my day. I thought I would never find another one. Doing the happy dance!

These facepots are kind of small, but they're really cute:

Al, just FYI, you can post links as long as you don't have a personal financial interest in promoting the site (which would violate the AUP rule about self promotion).

I found a lady head planter like KatG's last winter, and even with shipping it might have been less to order from her.

Thanks for the heads-up. Appreciated.
