Here in the low country .. I don't believe it.

I'm doing a rain dance - who's with me?

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I've been doing it all week.

I'll believe it when I see it.

maybe monday afternoon or night. My fingers are crossed!

Columbia, SC(Zone 7b)

Got lots of rain in my yard yesterday, but my buddy 4 blocks away got nuttin! Ahh, Carolina!

Lexington, SC(Zone 8a)

I got nothing yesterday, my folks in Irmo got a nice bit though. I'm hoping for some today or early this week.

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I keep checking the radar .. clear so far .. I don't know if the atmosphere is juicy enough to create thunderstorms this afternoon. We can hope, but the 10 day say's 20%.

I think what we need to do is try and convince this bubble of high pressure to move off.

We finally got a decent amount today but Sun just came back out.

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I bet that felt steamy! Looks like a better chance for us tomorrow. I've been putting off moving roses out of the front bed, incorporating peat moss and planting day lily and candy lilies there until the ground got good and wet .. If it's not wet by Wednesday, I'll drag out the sprinkler. One of my poor daylilies is already blooming in a tiny pot so I'm a few weeks late getting everything moved.

Well the 10 day says 50% chance of rain for the next 3 days. Keep your fingers crossed and everyone go wash your car and plan afternoon outdoor events! ;-)

Wow, they did bump the chances up big time for the next few days. Woohoo

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Well it was looking pretty promising a few hours ago .. now it's not. ;-(

we just had tornado sirens going off here at 6 tonight - I am betting that Jalapa got hit with some hail - they are 6 miles to my north and they looked like darkest night down the road - we bailed to my moms house just in case, my youngest was yelling at me Why are you taking pictures when we have a tornado warning what are you doin" I told her I had to capture in case the storm hit by us - it didn't - just a smattering of rain....

hate to bore ya - another iris LOL

It has rained steadily since about 2 am this morning. There is no way I will be able to walk in part of my garden area when daylight comes. Told DW last night I hoped it would rain all night--almost got my wish! Hope those of you toward coast get some of this, my daughter in Myrtle Beach told me last night she was doing a rain dance, but to no avail at 7 pm.

BTW, I remember my grandmother saying some one wasn't paying the preacher when it rained all around but missed certain individuals. X, reckon there might be a grain of truth in that? LOL

I just saw on the weather news that unofficially we got 2 inches of rain last night, yet areas right around us got none !!

Got an inch here last night.

Lexington, SC(Zone 8a)

I forgot to check the gauge this morning, but it rained pretty heavy for us too last night. Hoping we'll get more today.

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I'm just hoping we get more than 10 drops! Even though they were really BIG drops.

I walked outside this morning and couldn't make it to the car without getting my feet soaked in heels...we got some rain big time last night...my poor foxglove was bent over horribly so I came home at lunch to stake them up...but I am not complaining because it meant I didn't have to come home at lunch to water LOL
