Hi Everyone,
As the title says, I'm new to DG - my first post - and I joined due to my interest in bird photography. I have been photographing hummingbirds for, well, this will be my fifth season. Also, I just started a series on perched birds and that is what led me here - an interest in attracting all of the birds I would like to photograph. I have a bunch of questions that I can't think of off hand, so I'll just leave this as an introduction and go look at some of the posts here.

By the way HI!!!! :)
Hi there, Ian. I have found this is a very friendly and helpful place. can't wait to see more of your pics
Excellent pic Ian!
Welcome aboard, lan .... and a nice photo of the Hummingbird.
When I look at a photo like yours, and especially of a hummingbird, I become interested in the camera settings, i.e. shutter speed, aperture, etc. You have good stop action of the wings which requires good lighting and a fast shutter speed.
Looking forward to some of your perched bird photos .....
