Lately I have been throwing sunflower seed on the patio for the cardinals and I have been surpised at the number of goldfinch that congregate there, even though I keep the large thistle seed feeder full most of the time. They move fast so it's hard to get an accurate count but between the feeder and the patio there must be more than 50. Most are shades of yellow green and brown but a few really do look gold.
Like this fellow.
Watching the goldfinch
Wonderful captures Dave. These sure are colorful birds!
Excellent pics Dave! Love those in flight shots of the Goldfinch! I believe the duller colored ones are females.
Sweet House Finch pics!
Beautiful shots Dave...I love the in flight shots...don't see too many of those. They are characters aren't they...always seem to be fighting. Just as they get their colors they seem to go missing around here.
Those House Finches are precious!
Wonderful pics Dave! That Peony is gorgeous!!!
Gorgeous...again... and I just love the one of the three on the shepherds hook...so very colorful!
