This Whitewing Dove is a regular in my bird feeder. He obviously has been injured pretty badly, maybe by a cat or a hawk. He looks bad but shows no sign of slowing down and acts very normal. The rest of the dove do not seem to notice he is deformed.

No telling what might have happened to it. A couple of days ago I happened to be looking at a dove coming into my feed and saw a Sharp-shin knock the snot out of it. The feathers flew, but it didn't knock the dove down. She took a lickin' and kept on tickin'. Tickin' a little faster as a matter of fact.
