I am 65 years old and for the first time in my life I have seen a BO, not one but two in the same day. Yesterday I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I had to search the net to verify what I was seeing. It was a female BO. Later the male appeared. They were getting a little sugar water from my hummer feeders. They have been making juice runs all day. We have had rain storms all day and they keep feeding along with the hummers. Very wet birds today. How rare are BOs to North Texas? These are my first. The photo is the best I can do in the rain.
My first Baltimore Oriole
Hi Wildcat and welcome to the forum!
I see them listed as being in N. Texas except for the extreme north west.
Congratulations Wildcat and welcome!! I am happy that you get to see these beautiful birds!
Wildcat, here is a site that has a map:

After looking at the range map I am at the very edge of their breeding range. Maybe they are here for the summer. Maybe we will see some young ones later this spring. This might be interesting, young hummers and orioles at the same feeders. The male made a lot of trips to the feeders today, the female not so many. It rained all day and the hummers and the BOs started feeding early and continued until dark. I don't know who was the wettest here today, the hummers, the orioles or my ugly guineas.
Hello Wildcat and welcome. I use the same HB feeders as in your picture. I used to offer a regular oriole nectar feeder but last year was so funny watching them try to get the nectar. they could not figure out to put their beaks where the floating balls were. They kept trying to get at the nectar where the crack is to tear it part for cleaning was. My hubby and me laughed so hard. They use those HB feeders with ease though. I had 5 or 6 orioles last year. I have two right now but no females yet.
they are really beautiful and fun to watch. Congrats on getting them for the first time
