Firefox problems

I changed to Firefox and now "skip to new" jumps to the very bottom of the page
and the thread watcher doesn't update - when I click on a thread and read it and go back to "home", the thread watcher still shows the thread as unread
and the threads are still shown as unread if I go to the forum to read them.

Is there a workaround for these problems or should I just go back to using IE?
