Beautiful as always!

I am wondering how big your yard is and how many clematis do you have?

Just beautiful, Jeanne! You always make me want to order more clematis. :)

CG..yes...that one is in morning sun and partial sun the rest of the day because it is STILL in a gallon pot under my pergola..LOL..I've been naughty and not planted it..I potted it up last fall and left it on my table under the pergola and just have watered...BUT I think I've found just the spot..it has grown up into my climbing roses and will need to cut her loose to move the pot..I know I know...I've been bad...I still have 6 more sitting in pots and gotta get out there...
Thanks Carolyn, Rose and Lily..

Thanks Jeanne for the tour, the flower beds are well kept. The grass is so green. One can spend hours and hours enjoying your flowers. Is that crepe myrtle that are blooming already? Or is that a huge rose? (In your side yard).

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

It's a crepe myrtle..I have many of those..LOL..they haven't bloomed yet this year..those pics are from last year..Jeanne

Jeanne you have such a tidy garden, i bet you put hours in out there keeping it just so. i think a smaller garden is harder to keep up than a larger, more spacious one....do you agree? how many hours a week do you spend working outside. i spent about 2 to 3 hours a day every day between april and sept, except when i am on a business trip or out of town. that's why i love my winter dormant season...your work is year round in such a hot climate, right?
how many hours a week do you spend jeanne to keep up such a tidy garden?

personally i do not walk my gardens without nippers and lever loops in hand, but a walk aournd mine can take an hour if i nip and tuck along the way......
have a green one!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Breathtaking! Your gardens get more and more beautiful with each passing year!

Ripon, WI(Zone 4a)

Your gardens are just beautiful!

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Ahhh..thanks you guys...
CG..I am alot like you..I walk around my gardens in the morning with my coffee and in my pockets are my tape to tie up climbing roses, pruners to deadhead my roses and clematis..I am fortunate that I have a crew come mow each Friday..they also like to pull weeds until I scream "THAT IS A CLEMATIS..NOT A WEED"..sooo..I am a nervous wreck until they leave...only one speaks English and has to relay to others what is not a weed..I probably spend about a couple hours out there 3 days a week or more...I feel that heavily mulching does keep down on the weeds..I think gardening period is hard to keep regardless of size unless you truly enjoy it...I don't garden from October till the end of Feb..except to prune and fertilize my roses and clematis Feb 14th or so...I would love to see full pics of your gardens..I bet they are magnificent...Thanks again you guys...Jeanne

Delaware, OH

i too have mowing guys and a lot of help digging holes. mixing soil and moving or planting large shrubs. i do all my own pruning (shrubs and clems), clem planting, landscape designing etc. i agree, it is easy to spend a lot of time in any size garden.......
this spring i have had 21 days help so far (one person). but 2 acres of gardens requires some help as i do maintain an active consulting business and am in nyc about 6 days a month in the summer, more in the winter.
i will post Hardwick Hall clematis and garden photos this year, i will have several in bloom by next week, then the non stop show of almost 300 cultivars and over 400 clem plants begins.

if i had many more roses, i might get someone to handle the pruning, ouch..too many scratches and jabs for me , just form the few roses i have.
i am lucky to have help and that has helped me put the clem collection together and keep them in good shape for sure. the collars i place around the base of the clems have another important purpose, making sure only i weed inside the collars and get near the vines.

glad you have a off season too jeanne!

Baton Rouge, LA

It's always so inspiring to look at your clems, Jeanne. In three years, I hope to have even a portion of that beauty! Thanks for posting the full bed shots. It really helps to get a mental image of your garden environment. Ev =)

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Evey..thanks hon..I hope all of yall will do the same as I would love to see all of your gardens...Jeanne

Denton, TX(Zone 7b)

Oh Jeanne, I need that Livin Easy... My Westerland is blooming his head off and is also black spot free. I think some oranges have disease problems but think we have a couple of winners here. I'll try to get a pic of mine if it ever stops raining.

Thanks again for sharing the lovely photos. :)

Delaware, OH

don't know how i got a triple post our of my mac air, but i see that i did. apologies.

Denton, TX(Zone 7b)

Jeanne, here is the Westerland I told you about. You're like me, a rose person, so you may already have it. Very healthy...but not much fragrance that I can detect.

I think roses are just lovely and you folks certainly have some nice rose plants. I like the roses I just don't care much for the thorns. I only have room for the minature ones but I love those.

(Lynn) Paris, TX(Zone 7b)

My 1 gal Westerland bloomed the first year it was planted. This is it's 3rd spring
