ponds and rocks

Hi, my name is liz and i am a pond newbie (my version of group therapy intro). ;) I have been lurking this site for a couple months and now have a small 91 gallon preformed pond. My question - should i have stones on the bottom of my pond? Many photos show them. Thanks

The rocks will allow debris to settle in the crevices, I do not recommend them. Sharon
