Is this a pine warbler, and is the next photo a juvenile of this bird?

CLOSED: Pine Warbler?
The first one is a female American goldfinch - note the stout bill.
The second one looks like a juvenile but it's not a goldfinch...
The second bird reminds me of a Northern Parula warbler, not sure though.

Agree with American Goldfinch (female) for #1, and Northern Parula (female) for #2.

I looked up the Northern Parula warbler, and was surprised to learn they stay down south to breed too. I figured it was on its way north. I've never seen them around here, just northern New England where they are very common in the woods. Their call is easy to recognize once you hear it.

you can hear the call on this site:

Thank you very much

The name 'Northern' is to distinguish it from Tropical Parula, which occurs even further south (Mexico, Central & South America)
