Terra Cotta Stackables

Clinton, IA

I need your help in finding the thread/form on those cute terra cotta pots. You start out with a large pot and run a rod through it and add other terra cotta pots on top. I know there is a form or thread out there somewhere with pictures. I have seen it before and after hours of trying to find it (again) I have given up and I'm hoping someone out there can help jog my failing memory.

Thanks a Bunch!

am in the process of making mine right now... have three pots threaded and a couple of plants and seeds in each pot ((want more seeds than plants to see how they do))

Will post when completely finished..am going to do a lil handy work on the top pot to make it sit UPRIGHT, not slanted.

if the constructions guys are there, just ask them to cut one down for ya...they should have all the tools!

Cheryl you can cut rebar with a hacksaw, "hard & slow" Easy way.
Sawzall, metal cutting blade in power saw, be sure to wear safety glasses..
You don't have to cut all the way through, at half way or little over it will break..Depends on diameter..
Or Hot wrench "torch", Not recommended..

Easy way leaves time for this..LOL

all plants are just wee babies.and I hope the seeds all take and I'll thin them out , one thing about the tipsy pot , can't water too heavy or all will run off to the ground... so how does everyone deal with this?? do I need to prep a mini umbrella for the downpours we'll get down here????

I haven't set one up yet but maybe a coffee filter over the hole might help it from going out the bottom ... not to sure what to do about the top maybe a few rocks

Brandon, FL(Zone 9b)

not a problem going thru the hole!! it's dripping over the side of the pots that are tipped sideways. When I water, I water slowly till there's enuff growth to help retain the dirt.... but afraid IF and WHEN we get a rain ((WHICH WE NEED TERRIBLY BAD)) that it will ruin the pots .

I have impatiens in mine, in the shade. Doing very well, with no problems during rains.
