Is this an option if you have bad mold allergies? This sounds very attractive, but I remember going into barns was enough to trigger asthma. Anyone with asthma using this method?

Hmmm, that's a question I don't remember seeing.
I remember dry, dusty barns as a kid.
With the straw or hay outside and always wet, you shouldn't be inhaling alot IMHO.
Hopefully someone with more expertise will weigh in.
