Poolside tropical tree?

Oklahoma City, OK

We are in OKC, zone 7, we are looking for suggestions? Please Help!

There are a number of hardy palms, you can look them up in the plantfile section. That will make for a nice tropical look.

I'm in zone 6b and I'm going to put a Musa Basjoo next to my pool.

Vieques, PR

Potted hibiscus, either standard or bushy form, can be very colorful and not that expensive. Here in DC, we have hibiscus, musa, palms, oleander and cordilyne around the pool, in pots with trailing vinca and other accents.

Hardy Hibiscus will work well too in the ground. You'll probably want a tree that doesn't shed into the pool. How about a hardy palms, check these out/
