This morning my 13 yr old daughter's eclectus parrot passed away. "Bella" the parrot was admiring herself in the mirror when my daughter walked back into her room when our husky pushed her way passed my daughter. Bella tried to get away from her by going under the bed but the dog went after her and got her wing and leg. Bella was rushed 45 minutes to the nearest bird doctor where upon her evaluation she had a puncture wound under her wing and was bleeding and a possible broken leg. We were told she would have to go to Kansas State University to have surgery on the leg if it was broken but x-rays would have to be taken to find out how severe it was. During x-rays Bella passed away from shock with 1 puncture wound and 5 fractures from 1 dog bite. She would have been 7 months tomorrow. We love and will miss you Bella
