I've seen a Pelican do this once before, but was just as amazed by it today.

Great shots, Margaret. I have yet to get an up-close photo of our White or Brown Pelicans. I see the White Pelicans quite often but they are always congregated well off-shore.
Nice series. I didn't realize that there are seven species of Pelicans. Yours looked slightly different so I looked it up and found out yours is the Australian Pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus).
I learned something new .............
