Every once in awhile this happens on one of the coloured brugs.
It does not last, but a very neat phenomenon.
This one is opening striped today. Fun to see :-)
Alice
Stripes!!!
Alice !!! LOL That is so cool!!!
Wish you could hybridize a peppermint twist brug it will be a !!!Hot Tamale!!!
Chocolate Brug
That is a neat one and pretty too.
Its lovely..
That is pretty that way. Could the light areas be where the bloom didn't get as much light on it where it was folded before it opened?
Linda
That is neat!
Alice
that is so sharp, thank you for posting it
Elizabeth
Alice it would be really a great new Brug if you could persuade it to keep her stripes that many would like, how good are you in persuading talks, talke] to Stripee? LOL That would be really cool!
Lovely Alice.. real spectacular.. Yes.. I've noticed it on some flowers last year.. I thought of it as a mottling pattern here.. and I was more than a little disapointed to see it fill out later with color ..remembering mine.. it also seemed to have more than a little green running down with the pink and cream.. perhaps there will sometimes be a plant that continues to have this coloration
It's changing to all pink today.
Don't now what causes it, but have it happen with other varieties.
V. Peach does it regularly.
Just checked again and it did not turn all pink. Just darker in the pink it was yesterday.
I will try for another photo as the sun goes down to see.
It have been a cooler "norman" spring here ...
Yesterday and today it is 90º )-;
I got too much heat and sun yesterday and was not feeling well last eve and this morning.
So today had to not do that again. Feeling better now :-)
Just too much too fast for this zone 6/5 girl.
Yes, Gordon, you are right. 'Spring Peach' here as done that, too.
There is something unusual in the colour of that brug.
It never blooms just one colour here.
Anyone with thoughts to what causes this?
